He is responsible for more than 50 patents and his ideas have shaped the orthodontic field over his career of 40 years. New treatments, products and procedures have been tested over the decades at Kesling and Rocke Orthodontic Group and manufactured at TP Orthodontics. This included the Tip-Edge bracket that he invented over 20 years ago. Othodontists have come from around the world to learn this and other new techniques at the Orthodontic Center in LaPorte County. Dr. Kesling taught dentistry at St. Louis University, and after four decades, the university named a clinic to honor the Kesling Family. At age 71, Dr. Kesling commemorated the 100th anniversary of Dr. Horatio Nelson Jackson’s historic transcontinental trip by driving across the country in a 1903 Winton. His collection of antique cars is on display at the LaPorte County Automobile Museum where he and Kesling Associates are located. The plaque and $500 gift donated to the Gerald I. Lamkin Center of Ivy Tech NW are sponsored by ArcelorMittal.
